A Bug-type Pokémon from Generation II, Spinarak is a green, spider-like creature that evolves into Ariados at level 22. Ariados is a red spider with striking purple eyes, a pair of white mandibles, and a white horn. This evolved form prefers to make its nest in tropical forests, leaving only after dark to hunt. Ariados is known for its cunning hunting strategy: it spins a single thread as it wanders, which it can follow back to its nest. It sometimes even attaches this thread to a captured prey, letting it go so the thread can lead Ariados to a larger group of targets.
